Riffs by the sea at the 17th edition of the Co Wicklow town’s Bray Jazz Festival, with a special emphasis on improvisatory musicians from all corners of the globe.
The Bray Jazz Festival enjoys a reputation for showcasing contemporary musical improvisers from both at home and abroad, and this year will be no exception.
Bray Jazz Festival
While Bray Jazz Festival is ’boutique’ in scale we are proud to have hosted some of the very finest creators and composers working in contemporary music today.
Billed as “one of the very best small jazz festivals in Europe” (All About Jazz) and as “the connoisseur’s jazz festival” (The Irish Times), our event was also described last year as
a little gem
by The Sunday Independent’s Arts Editor. It is a billing that we hope to again live up to, in 2015.
Thanks, as ever to the concert goers who come out and support us each year, and to our loyal sponsors, without whom we couldn’t function.
And thanks also to the many service providers, technicians, hoteliers, bar owners, drivers, ground crew and of course musicians - who make Bray Jazz happen every year.
Bray has a wide range of places to see and things to do for the holiday visitor - when they’re taking a breather from jazz over the festival weekend.
