The popular Bourbon Street Jazz Festival is back at Q4 Events Centre, presenting a fusion of everything that’s good about jazz, funk and blues.
Kids First Enterprise is organizing the Arts For Mobility “Bourbon Street Jazz Festival” to bring the sounds, tastes and energy of Bourbon Street, New Orleans to Ho Chi Minh City.
BOURBON STREET JAZZ FESTIVAL
The event is the fourth annual Music and Food Festival in Vietnam with a focus on Bourbon Street, New Orlean’s style Cajun Food, Coolers, Music and Dance.
We plan it to be an annual tradition in Ho Chi Minh City. The event, like all Arts for Mobility events, will have a focus on a quality evening of entertainment that people will want to come back to year after year.
Profits from the event will be used to give the “Gift of Mobility” to some deserving children and young adults to help provide continued social and economic development in Dong Ha Town, Quang Tri Province, by supporting the employment of workers, some with disabilities, at the Kids First Enterprise mobility factory where the wheelchairs are manufactured.
Dong Ha Town is one of the poorest communities in Vietnam and the area most affected by the residual of the war with the continued presence of dioxins and unexploded ordinance.
Food and venue
Families will enjoy the benefits of their child having a wheelchair, enabling them to get the child out into the sunshine and experience the world outside the walls of their home.
In many cases, enabling them to go to school, get a job or do things for themselves, that they would otherwise need help in doing, giving them the self-confidence to do more and more for themselves.
An exciting line up from genuine New Orleans style jazz & blues, international musicians and singers, plus some of the very best locally based performers.
The return of the popular Claudio & Bad Neighbour Band from last year’s concert and regularly performing Bangkok Jazz Quartet will complete the entertainment lineup.
In keeping with the New Orleans style Cajun food experience our food & beverage suppliers will be offering a range of exciting and tasty cuisine for your enjoyment.
The concert venue, Q4 Events Center, plus it’s integral Cargo Bar, is one of the largest and definitely most popular venue in Saigon for live events, live music concerts and corporate events.
Located in District 4, just a short distance from the central business district, it is a convenient location for large events and easy for people to get to.
